The Superlight System for Motorized Bicycles (coming soon!).
We are proud to announce the introduction of a "SUPERLIGHT SYSTEM" now in development for all motorized bicycles with 2 cycle China made engines. This product has been undergoing test for the past 2 years (on and off). A very promising solution has finally been discovered and tested during the past 3 months.
What is The Superlight System About?
The "Superlight System" is about being able to ride your motorized bike at nights using your lights and not being concerned about having to recharge batteries. This system will feature a recharge mini SLA 6 volt battery that will be directly recharged from the bike's engine.
Many owners of these motorized bikes have tried running lights off the engine using the white wire, but this is not a very reliable type of lighting. The current from the white wire will only support up to about 250mA (or 1.5 watts) for the headlight. This in itself is not much light.
Anything over a certain amount of current draw on the engine's white wire will cause the bike to experience hard start or no start. A CDI (ignition coil) that's not in excellent condition, or within a certain tolerance could aggravate this problem even more.
Features Included
The SUPERLIGHT will mainly consist of a SLA rechargeable battery, a weatherproof battery case which mounts behind the seatpost, a replaceable mini circuit board, a circuit protection fuse inside the battery casing, wires with terminals to connect to ground & engine, and a light switch (mounted on upper frame rail).
This system to designed to support swrewbase headlamps with 3w (500mA) bulbs or higher,in additiion to tail light. It's designed to work with common 6v generator lighting systems, which normally come with 250mA bulbs, but you can replace them with 500mA, which is the maximum common amperage available for screwbase bulbs.
The rechargeable "Superlight System" will be available with and without lights, to suit those who already have generator bicycle lights. This system will not recharge from bicycle generator, but from motorized bike engines. A separate system is also being developed for regular bicycles with generator.
Battery will recharge from 65% capacity to full charge in about 2 to 3 hours with lights off, and remain charged up with lights on. A 1.2 amp SLA battery will run lights for 2 hours without going dim (with engine off).
If battery happens to go weak with lights on, engine will still support a bright enough light for a safe ride, without any major strain on the ignition system.
