We work very hard to keep our shipping costs fair for all of our customers. Shipping includes the mailer, packaging materials & tape, labels, and the cost of the USPS postage. We transport parcels from our studio every day that the Post Office is open. Consider this.....the time it would take for you to take a shower, get dressed, put gas in your car, venture out to your local chain store or quilt shop, fight crowds, wait in line at the cutting table and again at the check out, fight traffic, and maybe not find what you've found in our store online.  At Steel City Stitches, we don't mind that you shop in your PJ's, while wearing those fluffy bunny slippers....it's all part of the leisure online shopping experience we are able to provide :)

SHIPPING GUIDELINES FOR INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS (OUTSIDE THE U.S.A.)

All orders are shipped in envelopes or boxes.  If Priority Mail Flat Rate service is not offered to the buyer's location, we will contact you before we ship your order. Please contact us if you would like a shipping quote before you purchase. The rates below do NOT include insurance, the rates below are based upon Flat Rate Shipping Services offered by the USPS.  If you purchase flannel, pre-quilted, or heavy weight fabrics, these fabrics may require additional shipping costs to your location.

*1 to 9 yards - USPS Priority Mail International Flat Rate Envelope $12.95 U.S.D. to most locations worldwide (Canada and Mexico - $10.95). Please note, insurance is NOT available from the USPS on Flat Rate Envelopes.

*10 to 27 yards - USPS Priority Mail International Flat Rate Box $41.95 USD to most locations worldwide (Canada and Mexico - $26.95). Insurance is NOT available from the USPS on Flat Rate Boxes.

The United States Postal Service no longer offers insurance on Priority Mail Flat Rate International Envelopes or Boxes, Express Mail Flat Rate Parcels, or First Class Mail International Parcels. To purchase insurance on an international parcel, your order must be shipped Priority or Express mail NON-FLAT RATE where your shipping cost will be based solely upon weight and insurance will be based upon final value. Please let us know if you wish to purchase insurance so that we may add it to your invoice. We're sorry, but we cannot be responsible for parcels that are lost in the mail and refunds will not be given for any portion of your purchases or for shipping costs on lost, missing, or damaged international parcels unless your parcel is insured. We will provide a copy of the parcel weight and shipping receipt as proof that your order was shipped. Customs forms will reflect accurate information and any customs fees that you are assessed by your country are your responsibility and are NOT included as part of the shipping cost. If you anticipate buying more than one item over several days from our store, please let us know so that we can send you ONE combined invoice for all of your purchases so that they are all shipped in ONE parcel.
