These
headlights all started life as normal original equipment parts! |
 |
Here
you can see a 01-02 Dodge Stratus coupe headlight. This is an
OEM headlight, meaning it was the one that came on the car.
After we added our parts and retrofitting services to the
lights, along with some real carbon fiber inlays fresh coat of
black paint on the interior trim- these headlights have gone
from mild to wild. The parts used were Bosch
Bi-xenon projectors, custom made stainless steel shrouds, Bosch
Litronic Generation 2 ballasts, and Osram D2S bulbs. |
 |
Here
is a new Ford F150 headlight which is part of a pair done for a
customer by The Retrofit Source team. Again, this is an original
Ford headlight that was converted to have an HID projector
instead of the stock halogen reflector it came with. real Silver
carbon fiber bezel underlays were used, along with a pair of
fully customized Lexus LS430 projectors.
The parts used in this retrofit
were very special. the projectors started life as a pair of
Lexus LS430 low beams. they were modified to have the bi-xenon
high beam feature, and had water clear glass projector lenses
swapped on from Acura TSX projectors. The ballasts were Densos,
and the bulbs were Philips 85122+ 5000K units. |
 |
Example
three is an aftermarket Depo Mazda protege headlight. It started
life as a normal halogen reflector style headlight, and ended up
with cool carbon fiber trim, and a complete Mercedes Bi-xenon
setup installed.
The parts used in this retrofit
were Hella E55 Bixenon projectors, Philips 85122 D2S bulbs,
Hella Gen 4 ballasts, and Benz E-class OEM shrouds.
Don't think anybody makes cool
headlights like these for your particular model car? well,
aftermarket manufactures such as Depo or TYC might not, but we
do it all the time. |
