Q:I won your auction, how do I pay/checkout?
A:You should receive an e-mail with a link to checkout soon after the auction closes. A checkout link is provided on the auction page. Payment is expected within 10 days of auction close. Items not paid will be automatically relisted and an unpaid bidder dispute will be filed.
Q:Why do you only ship to the USA and Canada? I am willing to pay additional to ship overseas.
A:Olympus Imaging America is only authorized to distribute to the North and South America. At this time, we only conduct eBay auctions for the United States and Canada.
Q:How long will it take for me to receive my item?
A:After you have checked out, orders typically take two (2) business days to ship from our New York warehouse for U.S. orders. Canadian orders will ship Mondays and Wednesdays. Please note that our office is closed on Saturday, Sunday and most national holidays.
Q:Why do you charge sales tax on out of state purchases?
A:Olympus has nexus, or a general business presence, in all states. Therefore, we are required to collect sales tax. We file sales tax returns for every state as well. The only states we do not charge tax are AK, DE, MT, NH, and OR, which do not have a sales tax.
Q:Why do you charge sales tax for Canada?
A:Olympus has nexus, or a general business presence, in Canada. We are required to collect the Goods and Services Tax (GST) from our Canadian customers, or Harmonized Tax (HST) if applicable. For Newfoundland, New Brunswick , Nova Scotia and Ontario, tax is calculated based on your local tax rate. Other provinces, will be charged a 5% flat rate.
Q:Will I be charged brokerage fees for my Canadian order?
A:Candian customers will not have to pay brokerage fees on their orders from Olympus Auctions.
Q:Can I apply your extended warranty to new and refurbished cameras? What if I bought it from another seller?
A:Olympus extended warranties can be purchased at any time prior to the expiration of your manufacturer’s warranty. For new cameras, that is one year from the date of purchase. For reconditioned cameras, you have ninety days from the date of purchase.
Q:If I am not happy with my item what will be done to take care of that?
A:Olympus offers a 30-Day Money Back Guarantee on all eBay auctions. We guarantee 100% satisfaction - simply return the item for an exchange or refund. Click here for the appropriate form.
Q:Is shipping the same for Canada as it is for the USA?
A:Shipping cost is the same for USA and Canada. Please note that shipping costs will be charged in US dollars.
Q:Something is missing from my box…what should I do?
A:We check every reconditioned product thoroughly to ensure that all original components are included, however sometimes accessories are missing. If you are missing any components, please contact us at auctions@olympus.com and we will get you the missing components.
Q:Does shipping include insurance?
A:All Olympus Imaging America shipments include insurance.
Q:What is my tracking #?
A:As soon as your item ships, you will receive an email with the tracking number and method of shipment.
Q:What if I receive the wrong product?
A:Please contact our customer service department at auctions@olympus.com and we will take care of the problem.
Q:What do I do if my product is malfunctioning upon receiving?
A:If your product is malfunctioning, you might want to try our technical support line. Our technical support phone number is 1-888-553-4448 option 5 for more information (M - F). If it is determined that your product is defective, we recommend that you contact us at auctions@olympus.com for a replacement rather then sending it for repair.
Q:What does the 90 day warranty cover? What about getting an extended warranty?
A:The reconditioned products 90 day warranty guarantees that the Olympus product will be free from defects and workmanship under normal use and service for a period of 90 days from the date of purchase. Olympus extended warranties can be purchased at any time prior to the expiration of your manufacturer’s warranty.
Q:What forms of payment do you accept?
A: We accept payments via PayPal only - which includes; Visa, Mastercard, Discover, Americn Express and eChecks.
Q:How do I change my shipping address?
A:We ship to the PayPal billing address only - no exceptions. This is in compliance with PayPal Seller and Buyer Protection program.
Q:Why do you use stock photos?
A: It would be nearly impossible for use to take a picture of every item we sell. Our products are categorized in our warehouse; new - scuffed packaging, refurbished, and refurbished (class C). We do our best to ensure that all of our product descriptions are completely acurate for each category. Reading the auction description fully before bidding is the best way to know what you will receive.
