QUESTION: How do your children's shirts run? big or small?

I have found that the KiddyKat and Rabbit Skins Brands of t-shirts run small. 
KiddyKat Brand shirts are 100% cotton ARE NOT pre-shrunk, but I have found that they do not shrink much even after the dryer. Rabbit Skins are 100% cotton ARE NOT pre-shrunk also.

The Girl's Ruffle Tee runs small as well (approx. one size smaller than normal).   If you are in doubt or want it to be a little big, or have some "growing space", I suggest that you go up a size.  

The Gildan Brand runs large (approx. one size larger than normal).  They are 100% pre-shrunk cotton and will only shrink slightly.

Shirt measurements for chest are one side lying flat from armpit to armpit (B), and length is from top seam at neck to bottom of shirt (A).  All measurements are approximate and taken by me.

You can easily compare the chest measurement to a shirt that fits the child well now by measuring from armpit to armpit, lying flat, one side.

Short Sleeve
12 mo.: 10" chest / 13 1/2" length (KiddyKat - Runs Small)
18 mo.: 10 1/4" chest / 13 1/2" length (KiddyKat - Runs Small)
24 mo.: 11" chest / 14" lenghth (KiddyKat  - Runs Small)

The following sizes run large - at least one size larger than normal:
2T: 12 3/4" chest / 16 1/2" length (Gildan - Runs Large)
3T: 14" chest / 17 1/2" length (Gildan - Runs Large)
4T: 15 1/4" chest / 18 1/2" length (Gildan - Runs Large)
Youth XS (5/6): 15 3/4" chest / 20 1/2" length (Gildan - Runs Large)
Youth S (6/8): 17" chest / 22" length (Gildan - Runs Large)
Youth M (10/12): 18" chest / 23" length (Gildan - Runs Large)
