SHIPPING & HANDLING INFORMATION
Thanks for turning the page to find out more about my shipping and handling fees and policies.
I use priority mail in the US whenever possible. This is mainly due to the fact that it saves me time and you money. "How?" you ask... Well, the post office provides priority boxes for free = saves you money. It saves me time from trying to hunt down a nice size sturdy box for your item, which means I can get your item to you faster.
Please keep in mind that shipping and handling is just that. Shipping cost AND handling. Handling does not mean I am asking for money to hold onto this item until you get it. A handling charge covers bubble wrap, tape, and any other packing materials used in making sure your package arrives safely. It also covers the time & effort put forth in packing your item, and the ink & paper that I use printing the labels & packing slips. Now, doesn't that shipping charge you were thinking of questioning seem a lot more reasonable?
If you are an international bidder or you request another shipping method please understand that if I have to purchase a box to ship your item this would have to be reflected in the shipping cost. To try to avoid this, I do re-use boxes. You might get your doll in a box that reads coffee, or your china in a box that reads copy paper. If you do not want me to ship in a pre-used box, let me know before paying and I will be glad to add the cost of a brand-new box and send you a new invoice.
If you have any special shipping requests, please ask PRIOR to bidding. I am usually pretty flexible when it comes to shipping to a different address if the item is a gift, or even using a different method if you prefer. However, SHIPPING & HANDLING IS NOT NEGOTIABLE AFTER THE AUCTION HAS ENDED.
Insurance is always an option at the buyers expense. I always do my best to pack your item for safe arrival. If you choose not to insure your item, you assume any and all responsibility for lost or damaged packages. I send all of my packages with a delivery confirmation number. Sometimes this number is only trackable after the package is actually delivered. I don't know why, and don't make the post office rules. They say they only have to scan the package at delivery, so when you see that "a label was created", then I've shipped your package. Sometimes the system will not be updated again until the package actually arrives. Maybe one day they will start scanning all the packages when they put it on the truck, but as of date they seem to only do that when they feel like it.
I think that about covers it. Now, go shop till you drop, because I do combine shipping to save you even more money!
