- We do accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover cards as long as we can get address verification for the card. If you prefer we also accept PayPal (sorry, no money orders, no personal checks, no Escrow accounts and no wire (Bank) transfers or COD).
Do I have to pay sales tax? -Return to Top-
- Yes, New York State requires tax to be paid if we ship within New York State.
- Yes, New York State requires tax to be paid if you pick-up your purchase at our store.
- No, If we are shipping your purchase anywhere outside of New York State.
Can I combine multiple orders? -Return to Top-
- Yes. We do combine shipping on multiple auctions for a reduced shipping fee. This offer is made on the basis that the auctions won have the same user id and are paid for at the same time. Please contact us via e-mail at auctions@cameta.com when you are done bidding for a total.

- Each of our auctions contains our shipping charges for standard shipping methods. Expedited methods are available on all non-international orders. Please contact us Toll Free at 800-991-3350 or locally at 631-389-2138, or via e-mail at auctions@cameta.com, for expedited shipping prices.
- International shipping options are indicated in each auction we list. Due to insurance regulations, we can only offer FedEx International to some countries.
Can I pick-up from the Cameta Camera retail store and not pay for shipping? -Return to Top-
- Yes, our retail store is located at 253 Broadway (Route 110), Amityville, NY 11701. However, please call 1-800-991-3350 in advance so that we can arrange for our warehouse to have the items available in the store for you. Also, be aware that you will have to pay the local sales tax on your purchase.
Can International packages be upgraded for faster delivery? -Return to Top-
- We do offer a variety of international shipping methods. The shipping costs and delivery time frames vary for each service. Cameta Camera can not guarantee the date or time of any shipment regardless of the delivery method you decide upon.
Can you use your UPS or FedEx shipping account? -Return to Top-
- Yes! We can have the shipping charges billed directly to your UPS or FedEx account under the following stipulations:
- Shipment can only be made to an address within the USA.
- There is a $5.00 handling charge per order shipped on your account.
- We do not offer FedEx Ground service.
How long will it take for delivery? -Return to Top-
- UPS Ground, FedEx and USPS First Class Mail, Priority Mail, Express Mail, and Express Mail International orders take up to 2 business days (Monday-Friday) to process and ship. During holidays, processing and shipping may take longer.
- UPS Ground: packages can take anywhere from 1-5 business days to be delivered. However, please note Ground shipments are not guaranteed by any specific date. .
- UPS 3 Day Select: 3 Day delivery anywhere in the 48 contiguous United States from the date of shipment (i.e. Order shipped on Monday is expected to be delivered by end of day on Thursday).
- UPS 2nd Day Air: Delivery by end of the second business day (i.e. Order shipped on Monday is expected to be delivered by end of day on Wednesday).
- UPS Next Day Air Saver: Delivery by the end of the next business day (i.e. Order shipped on Monday is expected to be delivered by end of day on Tuesday).
- UPS Next Day Air: Delivery by 1PM on next business day.
- US Postal Service First Class Mail: Delivery time is approximately 7-14 days from date of shipment.
- US Postal Service Priority Mail: Delivery time is approximately 1-4 business days from date of shipment.
- US Postal Service Express Mail: Delivery time is 1-2 business days from date of shipment.
- US Postal Service Express Mail International: 3-5 Business Days to reach customs from date of shipment. We cannot calculate your local time at customs.
- Cameta Camera can not guarantee the date or time of any shipment regardless of the delivery method you decide upon.

- No. All packages must be fully insured.
Can packages sent internationally be marked as a “gift” or indicate a lower insurance value? -Return to Top-
- No, all international packages are treated the same, and are marked “eBay Purchase” on the insurance form. Packages can not be marked as being a “gift”, nor can we falsify the value.
Can shipping within the USA be upgraded for faster delivery? -Return to Top-
- Orders with upgraded UPS shipping will ship the same day Monday through Friday if they are called in before 1:00 PM Eastern Standard Time and your credit card and shipping information can be verified without delay by your credit card issuer.
- Within the 48 contiguous states our standard shipping is UPS Ground. Upgraded shipping methods include UPS 3 Day SelectSM, UPS 2nd Day Air®, UPS Next Day Air®, US Postal Service Priority Mail or US Postal Service Express Mail at an additional charge in available areas.
- To Alaska and Hawaii the standard US Postal Service Priority Mail shipping can be upgraded to US Postal Service Express Mail, UPS 2nd Day Air® or UPS Next Day Air® at an additional charge.

Do I have to pay custom duties or fees? -Return to Top-
- Yes. On orders shipped outside of the USA there may be local custom duties and/or fees. Each country has different procedures and regulations for incoming packages. Please check with the proper local authorities regarding custom duties and/or fees before you make a bid or purchase. We are not responsible for local fees. If you fail to pay local duties or taxes and your package is returned to us your shipping fee can not be refunded.
How long does it take to process my order? -Return to Top-
- Our processing department works Monday-Friday (except holidays). Orders are processed within two business days of receiving payment, so long as your credit card and shipping information can be verified without delay by your credit card issuer.

What is a “Factory Demo”? -Return to Top-
- A “Factory” Demo is equipment that was a display piece or "Salesman's Sample”, has had minimal to no use and has never been owned by a consumer. “Factory Demo” equipment has the advantage of being individually checked and tested before it is shipped to us from the authorized USA distributor. Some units may have small marks or slight imperfections in the finish, but all “Factory Demos” are in brand new operating condition, and are covered under warranty by the authorized USA distributor and/or Cameta Camera for one full year on all parts and labor.
What does “Tested before shipping” mean? -Return to Top-
- The item is physically checked, powered up and the basic functions and settings are verified to be operable.
Who does the testing? -Return to Top-
- We do not test any products at our facility. All testing is done by the manufacturer.
What does the Cameta Camera Warranty cover? -Return to Top-
- Our warranty covers the cost of all parts and labor to repair any defects that occur within the warranty period. This warranty doesn't cover any damage caused to the product including, but not limited to: impact, moisture, liquid, sand, excessive temperature, chemical corrosion, mishandling, operation contrary to operating instructions, tampering, modification, or servicing by an unauthorized repair shop. This is a non-transferable warranty.
Is the warranty covered internationally? -Return to Top-
- Every new and factory demo product Cameta Camera offers includes and is covered by the terms of the warranty as supplied by the authorized USA distributor of that product. The USA warranty is always valid for repair within the USA and sometimes internationally. As warranty policies differ depending on the product and manufacturer, do not assume that it is valid internationally. Check with the authorized distributor of the product in your country to determine if a valid USA warranty will be honored there.
- Most equipment can be covered by an optional international extended warranty. It has valuable features to enhance and significantly extend the time period of your basic warranty coverage, but it also allows warranty repairs to be performed internationally for greater convenience and saves the expense and time of shipping equipment to the USA and back to you.
How do rebates work? -Return to Top-
- Cameta Camera provides all rebate forms for those products which are eligible. Each manufacturer has there own rules and regulations regarding each rebate program, so please read the instructions carefully.
Are rebates good internationally? -Return to Top-
- Cameta Camera purchases products only from their respective authorized USA distributor, and is a registered authorized dealer of those products, so you are entitled to all current rebates offered by the USA distributor. However, distributors usually will only send a rebate to an address within the USA. It is the policy of the manufacturer, and not that of Cameta Camera, to offer the rebate on those orders shipped within the USA only! International buyers are not eligible for rebates.
What is the return policy? -Return to Top-
- Cameta Camera offers a 2 week exchange policy on defective merchandise. All returns must be pre-authorized and must be sent back to us in exactly the same condition as you received it. All original boxes, packing materials, manuals, BLANK warranty cards and accessories must be included for any exchange.
- Please be aware that we cannot accept returns on the following items unless they are shown to be defective in manufacture (as decided by the manufacturer):
- Underwater equipment (once taken underwater)
- Inkjet printers (once ink cartridge/ribbon has been installed)
- Processing equipment (once used with chemicals)
- Educational DVDs, Tapes and Books once opened
- Blister-packed items once opened
- Original manufacturer software once opened
- Special Order merchandise
- For the protection of our customers we also cannot allow returns on all consumables, including but not limited to recordable media such as digital memory (unless unused or defective in manufacture as determined by the manufacturer), film, videotapes, or blank CD/DVDs, as well as batteries, paper, chemicals, ink, bulbs, etc.
What if I bid on the wrong item? -Return to Top-
- If there is more then 12 hours left to the auction: You can retract your bid. However, all of your previous bids for that specific auction will also be eliminated. So be sure to bid again if you are correcting a bidding error. Please contact support@eBay.com for any technical inquiries.
- If there is less then 12 hours left to the auction: You can retract your bid within one hour of having placed it. In this case only that bid will be retracted; any other bid you placed more than one hour earlier remains valid.
Can I get a different color camera than the one shown in our auction? -Return to Top-
- No. Every Cameta Camera auction accurately presents the equipment that has been set aside. Even if a particular model camera is sometimes available in another color than presented, don't bid on it or complete a Buy It Now purchase unless you want to buy the camera in the color displayed.
Does the charger and/or A/C power supply operate internationally? -Return to Top-
- Electrical components included as original equipment by the Camera Manufacturer within the same box as the camera body (usually just a charger), will typically operate in the USA only, unless the unit offers an interchangeable voltage option. An optional plug adapter to convert it to any voltage system utilized outside of the USA may be required.
What is a “Reserve Price”? -Return to Top-
- A reserve price is the minimum price an eBay seller is willing to accept for an item. eBay does not show the reserve price, only whether or not the reserve has been met. The seller is not obligated to sell an item if the reserve price is not met. To be the winning bidder, you must meet or exceed the reserve price and have the highest bid at the end of the auction.
Do you ever send a Second Chance Offer? -Return to Top-
- No, we do not send Second Chance Offers.
What video system format (NTSC or PAL) will a camera work with? -Return to Top-
- Digital Still Cameras usually have a user selectable menu setting for both NTSC and PAL formats. However, if PAL compatibility is very important to you, please check with the authorized USA distributor of the product for verification.
- All Camcorders (analog, digital, MiniDV, DVD) on auction from Cameta Camera are NTSC unless otherwise specified. Please contact us Toll Free at 1-800-991-3350 or Overseas/ Local at 631-389-2138 for information on purchasing a PAL system camcorder.
