DecorateMyRooms merges with AtopTheTable to Extend Market of Stylish Gifts to Worldwide Audience
POTTSTOWN, PA March 1, 2008 – DecorateMyRooms.com, which had carved out a niche as a luxury décor and gifts Web site, has been consolidated with AtopTheTable.com under a new company name, AtopTheTable Company, announced Blue Heron Marketing Company LLC’s founders.
“The two sites had competing purposes and this move places a larger variety of quality, artist-inspired items in front of a worldwide audience,” said Kelly Fenstermacher, co-founder of Blue Heron Marketing.
With glassware from Lolita’s Love My Martini to hand-painted pottery direct from Poland, the variety of creative gifts is broad. The focus will be on items found “atop” a table. “When we reflected on what our customers wanted most – the common thread that we identified was that almost everything was used on a tabletop.”
“During this consolidation, we are re-evaluating each and every item to ensure we are going to deliver the type of buying experience customers from DecorateMyRooms.com have come to expect,” Fenstermacher said. “We aren’t changing our dedication to ensuring our customers are happy. We’re just adding more quality items to our inventory. Our goal is to expand without taking our eye off of superior customer service.”
The new slogan for the AtopTheTable Company will be “Unique Things to Brag About” – drawing on the handmade nature of many items as well as the “luxe” quality the company has prided itself in for more than five years.
The consolidated company now has 2 Web sites. The first is built on the eBay platform and the other is on the Marketplace Advisor platform. The two new Web URLs are: www.AtopTheTable.com and www.ShopAtopTheTable.com.
