DIY Co2 for tanks below 8 gallon
Equipment and Yeast Recipe:
64 oz Juice Container
2 cups of sugar
1 teaspoon Red Star Active Dry Yeast
Lukewarm water up to fill rectangular portion of the bottle.
Equipment utilized for DIY Co2 System.
Tubing through Cap: I used a nail to punch a small hole in the center of
the cap for some regular airline tubing. I used pliers to pull the tubing
through the tiny hole. This creates a perfect seal without using any sealant or
glue. We are now Good to go
Procedures:
1) Pour 2 cups of sugar in container
2) Fill bottom rectangular portion of juice container w/ lukewarm water
3) Add 1 teaspoon of yeast
4) Replace lid and tighten as good as possible
5) Place diffuser inside tank
5) Wait
DIY Co2 system initial setup. No bubbles coming from diffuser.
Results:
After a 3-4 hours wait for the container topressurize, and I heard little
popping noises coming from the inside the tank. IT WORKED! The glass diffuser
was releasing tiny little bubbles over many parts of the ceramic disk.
