Installation Procedures and Warranty Guidelines

1) A/C Compressor Warehouse warrants its compressors for a period of twelve (12) months from date of purchase if our Installation Guidelines are followed.

2) Installation must be done by a Certified A/C System Technician for your warranty to be valid.

3) You must submit a work order/invoice for the work done on your vehicle for your warranty to be valid.

4) You must submit receipts for all parts and materials purchased for your warranty to be valid.

5) The proper A/C Compressor Warehouse warranty form must be completed and attached for each product returned for consideration of credit. (Warranty form will be faxed or mailed to customer after proper return authorization is given.)

6) No credit will be issued for warranty returns with any component parts missing.

7) Warranty will be void if there is any noticeable tampering with labels on the compressors housing.

8) Credit for defects will be issued after A/C Compressor Warehouse internal verification and testing is completed if the compressor is found to be truly defective. (7 to 15 working days)

9) Product returned as defective but determined by us not to be defective will be returned to the customer at customer expense or discarded at customer’s option.

 
The accumulator and orifice tube or the receiver-drier and expansion valve must be replaced at the time of installation. Some vehicles have a liquid line with built in orifice tube. They will need to be replaced.

The entire A/C System must be completely flushed with approved flush prior to installation of the compressor.

Note: In most newer vehicles the condenser is impossible to properly clean and should be replaced. If the vehicle operates using a parallel flow design type condenser then the condenser MUST be replaced at the time of compressor installation or the Warranty is void.

Warning: Pneumatic or forced air methods are not an effective or acceptable method for cleaning the A/C System. Closed Loop Cleaning using a refrigerant or Liquid Cleaning with a Cleaning Agent are acceptable.

After everything is installed and before you turn the system on: Using a spanner wrench, rotate the compressor clutch 10 to 15 times. If this step is not done it may cause permanent failure.

Note: Do not turn the clutch nut. This will change the air gap and cause compressor Evacuate the system to 29.5in/Hg for at least 45 minutes. If the temperature is over 80 degrees or the vehicle is equipped with a dual zone system, we recommend evacuating for at least two (2) hours.

New compressors are pre-shipped with a special oil meant only for safeguarding the compressor during shipment. Do NOT use this oil, it must be drained from the compressor.. PAG oil needs to be used, of the proper type and amount.
